An antique, precious box made in Switzerland, 1888
An antique, precious box made in the winter of 1887-1888 by the carpenter
Albert Körber in Zurich (Switzerland).
Behind the mirror in the lid, the
carpenter Albert Körber wrote that he made this casket in 1887-1888, this
message from the past has fortunately been preserved.
The antique box was
made of walnut wood, the grain was finely joined to a mirror image on coniferous
wood, maple. The exquisitely beautiful inlays were inlaid with maple, walnut and
mahogany wood. Curved body, the lock is original and is working, the small key
has been added. Inside there is a mobile, divided tray made of cherry wood. In
the lid there is a mirror with small "blind spots", due to ageing.

Condition:
The beautiful, antique box was gently restored, the wooden surface was polished by hand with shellac, and the beautiful old patina was preserved. No active woodworm infestation. Mirror with small "blind spots", due to ageing.
